WELCOME TO HAISLEY PLAYERS!
An important Enrichment Program that sets Haisley apart from other elementary school communities in the district, Haisley Players is an after-school student theater group that puts on a full scale, broadway-style production every year. The Haisley Players was founded in 2012 by parents and teachers who wanted to give Haisley students the opportunity to perform live musical theater right at their school. May 2013 marked our first production — Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Each show is made possible through the efforts of a crew of parent and teacher volunteers — teaching the music, making the sets, creating the costumes, finding the props, making the programs and doing many other things behind the scenes to make it happen.
The program is open to all students: 4th and 5th graders audition for parts or sign up for backstage roles; 1st thru 3rd grade can sign up for “group roles.”

This year’s production will be Lion King KIDS (a nod to the 2020 production, which was canceled a week before showtime due to the pandemic), directed by Christina Morales Hemenway (mom to Maverick in 4th grade), and produced by Jen Guerra Short (mom to Millie in 3rd grade and George in 1st grade).
